"I use a wellness approach to health" says Dr. Bryan Ales. "Meditation, yoga, nutrition, staying active - these things all contribute to our body's health and our ability to fight pain and disease. It is my belief that helping patients understand and attain correct body posture, along with movement patterns, is an important contribution to optimizing overall function."

He accomplishes this by using five tools: the adjustment, muscle work (Active Release Technique), advanced stretching, exercise and nutrition. Dr. Ales works with each patient on a personal wellness plan to incorporate these five tools to form a strong foundation of health and wellness.

As a wellness coach, Dr. Ales has helped people achieve better health with postural-based chiropractic care. This emphasis helps his patients improve their breathing, balance and overall range of motion, while decreasing pain and fatigue. "If I can educate patients on wellness and disease prevention - a good portion of the battle in health care has been won."

Dr. Ales spent 15 years as a musician and teacher, with a degree in music. He then went on to pursue a degree in business. It was only then that he felt his true calling - to become a chiropractor. His desire is to make a real difference in his patients' quality of life. And he continues his role as an educator by regularly lecturing on the effects of lifestyle, postural dysfunction and nutrition on our health.

His holistic approach continues to evolve, enhanced by a world view gained through travel and outdoor activities. Dr. Ales is an avid hiker, tennis player, climber and surfer. He and his wife have traveled throughout East Asia, Egypt and Greece.
