“Dr. Paul Fuhrman grew up
in southern Illinois. He
earned his Bachelor of
Science degree in
Kinesiology with a minor in
Biochemistry from the
University of Illinois. In
the fall of 2009 he
graduated summa cum laude
and salutatorian from Palmer
College of Chiropractic,
Florida with a Doctorate of
Chiropractic. Dr. Fuhrman
was awarded the Presidential
Scholar award at graduation.
Dr. Fuhrman believes in
working in a partnership
with patients where
communication between
patient and doctor is held
at the highest regard. He
works in an integrative
model where both
conventional and alternative
methods of healing are used
based on their ability to
stimulate the body’s natural
healing processes and where
wellness is the primary
goal. “Prevention will be
the future of health care.
It is the doctor’s
responsibility to not only
heal the patient, but to
also give them the tools and
education that allow them to
live the life they
envision.”
In his previous studies,
Dr. Fuhrman has focused his
energies primarily on spinal
pain disorders, soft
tissue/muscle release
techniques,
neuromobilization,
flexion/distraction and
musculoskeletal rehab.
Nutrition was also studied
thoroughly, particularly in
the area of preventative
eating and supplementation.
Since graduating, he has
completed course work and
studied specific nutrition
testing techniques and
dietary supplementation.
Continuing to be a constant
student of health, healing,
and chiropractic is a
primary goal of his.
“Becoming a master healer
who focuses on all aspects
of health and disease and
who makes a permanent
positive impact on
individuals’ lives is my
ultimate goal.”
Dr. Fuhrman works to
model health in his personal
life through daily fun on a
surfboard, living by
empowering beliefs, and
doing community outreach. He
has personally used or
experienced the majority of
the treatments he recommends
and understands the
challenges associated with
living a healthy lifestyle
in this day and age. “I love
being a part of the Advanced
Wellness Center. There are
so many great minds to
collaborate with, so many
tools to utilize, and so
much positive energy to feed
off of.”
