Dr. Jaimie Torromeo is passionate about chiropractic care. “I believe you can restore your health no matter how old or sick you feel so you can continue to do all the things in life you want to for as long as you want to!”
A Long Beach native, Dr. Jaimie has played competitive volleyball from fifth grade all the way through her days at Pepperdine University and playing for the Arkansas Razorbacks. The physical demands of competitive sports has given her a exceptional understanding of the healing properties the body has once the spine is restored to its intended position. Her goal is to assist the body to function optimally by improving overall health, spinal alignment and rehabilitation in sports and chronic injuries.
Dr. Jaimie uses Diversified Technique and manual muscle treatments to help patients of all ages! She treats patients during and after pregnancy, newborn babies, people well into their 90’s, and everyone in between!
She is very active in the sports community and continues to train with Crossfit and Marathons. In 2015 she won a regional Crossfit competition beating out women in her age group in her area.

Dr. Sese Novas, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Sese Novas was born and raised in Spain and maintains her fluency in Spanish. She was introduced to holistic care by her father, who refrained from using pharmaceuticals and instead opted for home remedies and nutritional therapies.
Dr. Novas’ interest in natural ways of healing intensified as a result of her athletic activities. This led her to become a certified massage therapist. She developed an interest in chiropractic after experiencing its healing power following a car accident, which left her with intermittent back pain. She was soon enrolled at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. She first earned a Bachelor of Science degree and then completed her Doctor of Chiropractic in 1993. Dr. Novas is a member of the California Chiropractic Association.
Her goals are to optimize her patients’ health by: improving posture; resolution of muscle imbalances; proper alignment of the spine resulting in healthy nerve function to the muscles and organs; pain relief; as well as treatment for related symptoms that compromise health like headaches, allergies and digestive difficulties. Dr. Novas uses a full range of soft tissue techniques, capitalizing on her background as a massage practitioner.
Dr. Novas is a firm believer in the team approach to wellness and will refer patients to other practitioners in the Center if she thinks their condition would be improved by the consultation. “My main goal as a Chiropractor is to help patients achieve optimal health without the use of drugs or surgery, encouraging them to capitalize on their own ability and desire to improve their health.”
Dedication to physical exercise has inspired Dr. Novas to become an avid runner and a long-time practitioner of the martial arts. She has also incorporated yoga into her regular regiment and views it as a perfect complement to her exercise routines. She enjoys the amazing benefits this ancient art has to offer.
Married with two beautiful daughters, Dr. Novas is a very involved volunteer at their school and with their Girl Scout troop. She combines her love for martial arts and kids by teaching karate to children. She has also been involved with Soroptimist International of Long Beach Area, a volunteer service organization for business and professional women who strive to improve the lives of women and girls.
Dr. Tori Reccord, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic
Originally from the Central Coast, Dr. Reccord spent the majority of her childhood participating in a wide variety of athletics. She experienced the benefits of chiropractic and sports medicine from a young age, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in health.
After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Dr. Reccord continued her passion in various employment fields including physical therapy, orthopedics, and medical laboratory events. Her dedication to a holistic approach to injury prevention and functional health led her to the Southern California University of Health Sciences where she participated in the inaugural Sports Medicine honors program and graduated on the Dean’s List of the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic.
Out of the office, Dr. Reccord actively prioritizes her own health and movement primarily through Olympic Weightlifting in which she actively competes, qualifying for the American Open Series three times.
I am so grateful that I am able to combine my lifestyle with my career every single day. My goal as a chiropractor is to provide patients of all activity levels with the means and care to maximize their health. Whether it’s competitive athletics or simply taking a walk with loved ones, all of our passions deserve to be experienced optimally and pain free!

Nicole Lean-Lyons, ND
Dr. Lean-Lyons focus is in family practice. She utilizes a multitude of modalities, including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, nutritional supplementation and various other healing therapies, to support her patients on their way to reaching their optimal vitality.
Her practice addresses many illnesses and conditions ranging from everyday colds and coughs to thyroid dysfunction, chronic diseases like diabetes and autoimmune conditions, to cancer support. Dr. Lean begins by evaluating her patient’s gastrointestinal health and its current state of function. She believes you are what you eat! The function of your gut is of utmost importance because it is where many diseases begin. Making sure you are eating right for your body and healing your gut is a priority. She is also very interested in environmental medicine, especially with its contribution to a women’s health, including such issues as fertility and other concerns like endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome and premenstrual syndrome.
Dr. Lean-Lyons graduated with honors from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona, receiving her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine. During her journey in medical school, she enjoyed working with an advocacy group on her campus called N-ACT, where she had a passion for lobbying and spreading the word of Naturopathic medicine. Dr. Lean-Lyons worked in a variety of patient settings including pediatrics, drug and alcohol rehab centers, chiropractic medicine, women’s medicine, hydrotherapy, family practice, environmental medicine and many others. These experiences allowed her to develop into the well-rounded doctor that she is today.
Dr. Lean-Lyons enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling around the world, eating out at new and fun restaurants and working out! Originally from Long Island, New York, she’s now residing in Long Beach Area where she appreciates living by the beach with her husband and pug named Buddha!
Rebecca Rebmann is a pioneer in nutrition and wellness. Her latest book Screwed by Food and How To Get Sweet Revenge is already on the way to becoming a best-seller. Rebecca’s commitment and dedication to healthy living and nutrition has been her lifelong passion. Her knowledge of nutrition and its connection to wellness led her to opening several natural/gourmet food stores and restaurants in the Northwest before moving to California to open her practice in Long Beach. In addition to holding many industry certifications, Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Health Science, a Master’s Degree in Holistic Nutrition, and a Naturopathic Doctoral degree. She is board certified by the American Naturopathic Certification Board.
Rebecca has successfully worked with thousands of clients solving wellness and weight management issues and addressing some of the often-overlooked blocks of hormone imbalances and food allergies. Additionally, she works with clients on health issues like menopause and PMS, fatigue, depression, infertility and anxiety. By using a combination of non-invasive highly sensitive laboratory testing, non-drug therapies, detoxification, proper diet and supplementation, Rebecca is able to guide clients to restored balance and wellness.
Chanelle Anderson, BA, CMT
Certified Massage Therapist
As a massage therapist, my main objective is to help you, the client, reach an ideal state of relief, health and relaxation.
Chanelle began working at the Advanced Wellness Center in 2003 after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Family and Consumer Science from California State University, Long Beach Area and her Certification in Massage Therapy from Bryman College (now Everest College).
In addition to working at the Center, Chanelle teaches Massage Therapy at Everest College and received the Teacher of the Year Award in 2008. “I enjoy helping students get a fresh start with a new career, as many of them have had tough lives. It is very rewarding to have such an impact on people and to watch them succeed in ways they may not have thought possible.”
Chanelle is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA). She feels that her association with AMTA and her pursuit of continuing education in massage therapy and alternative medicine allow her to provide the best possible care to her patients.
Zionna believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise to assist in this process. She has a collaborative approach of reaching the specific goals of each patient.
She has been a practicing Massage Therapist since 1999. Her clinical education was completed at Seattle Massage School in Seattle, WA.
Her training and areas of focus are Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi, Sports Specific injury and Trigger point therapy.
